Stand on Culloden battlefield...imagine the skirling pipes, the clash of steel  and the rattle of muskets in 1745 as Bonnie Prince Charlie stood against the government forces or  maybe cruise Loch Ness for a sight of you know who!

 Head west. Visit Plocton (home of televisions Hamish Macbeth), Eilean Donan castle,  Sheildaig,  Ullapool and the Isle of Skye and don't miss the extraordinary gardens in Britain at Inverewe - exotic plants growing on the same latitude as Moscow,  thanks to the warming influence of the gulf stream.

Visit Fort George  the oldest manned fort in Britain.

Try a wee dram on a tour around a distillery  Glen Ord, Glenmorangie and Clynelish distilleries are all close by, Glen Ord is our local brew!  

Strathpeffer Highland Museum of Childhood,  the Eaglestone, Achiltiebuie Hydroponicum,  Baxter's Fine Foods, Pringles Woollen Mills and a host of others from wildlife parks to peaceful sanctuaries such as the Findhorn foundation, an International spiritualistic community  renowned for its ground breaking ecological projects.
