STAC POLLAIDH A short, circular, extremely steep climb to the ridge of one of Scotland's most dramatic and distinctive hills. The view of surrounding hills, lochs and coastal scenery is breathtaking.

From Craigdarroch, drive north through Ullapool 10 miles on A835. Turn left (Ledmore Junction) to Achiltiebuie, car park is 5 miles along this road. Stac Pollaidh consists of a steep skirt of peat and scree rising to a short narrow ridge between two rocky outcrops, like ruined towers. The path from the road leads directly to the lowest part of the IF YOU ARE STAYING WITH US WITHOUT A CAR Catch the west coast bus at 9.30 am from the bottom of Craigdarroch Drive. Operates Monday to Saturday May 6 - September 28 and it will drop you off at the Achiltiebuie junction (request) Return bus from at 17.28 pm View from Stac Pollaidh
