Rates & Policies 2007 Craigdarroch Lodge is an historic c1850 dower house welcoming travellers from all over the world and located just outside the village of Contin. Superior double rooms have king sized beds. Bookings are usually taken for a three night minimum stay- please ask. THE FOUR POSTER ROOM has a king size four poster bed, ensuite bath and shower and is fitted to a deluxe standard. Again usually a three night minimum stay - please ask. SINGLE USE OF DOUBLE OR TWIN BEDDED ROOMS usually incurs a single occupancy room supplement. However in some instances we may be able to waive the single supplement, please enquire when making your reservation. DOGS are most welcome at Craigdarroch at no extra charge  However they are not allowed in the restaurant. Please keep them on a lead at all times in and around the hotel and hotel grounds.  Poo is your problem, please don't make it ours. Dogs are not allowed in superior rooms. access to all public rooms, ground floor bedrooms. CANCELLATIONS. All rooms are offered subject to being available on receipt of confirmation and deposit. Due to the location and style of our hotel, and unlike some corporate hotels, we do not overbook our rooms. When a room is confirmed we make a firm commitment to our guests to hold that allocated room for them. Often reservations are made well in advance and re-letting cancelled accommodation may be difficult at short notice. Therefore we reserve the right to charge two-thirds of the full cost of the holiday for any booking amended or cancelled less than three weeks prior to the date of arrival, if we are unable to re-let the room(s).                           PLEASE NOTE...CANCELLATIONS OF MURDER MYSTERY WEEKENDS, HOGMANAY, CHRISTMAS, WEDDINGS AND SPECIAL WEEKENDS WITH ENTERTAINMENT; THE FULL VALUE OF THE BOOKING IS PAYABLE IN THE EVENT THAT WE ARE UNABLE TO RE-LET THE ROOM.   After arrival no allowance can be made for temporary absence, meals not taken or accommodation being vacated before the expiry of the booking. It is regretted that terms confirmed cannot be changed during the stay. Guests are strongly advised to arrange holiday cancellation insurance to cover confirmed bookings. We would be pleased to arrange this upon request, but we do not presume to impose insurance on our guests BOOKING IN TIME IS FROM 3PM BOOKING OUT TIME IS BY 11AM Guests wishing to make a "quick getaway" can have their bill made up on the evening before departure, particularly if you wish to pay by visa., as there are often delays in authorisation of cards etc. Please note that during the autumn and winter we are only open for specific Murder Mystery weekends, Christmas and Hogmanay.  There will be no one available to receive you before 3 pm on the day of arrival. Similarly there is no facility to stay on beyond 11 am on the morning of departure. If you are a group organiser please be sure to let your group know. SMOKING  POLICY - new legal requirements mean that Craigdarroch Lodge Hotel is strictly non smoking in all rooms. GROUP RATES are offered on the basis that your group operate as a group and not as individuals.  In particular we ask for 1 payment  for the deposit to cover all members of your group and 1 final account which can be either be by cheque or credit card.  Also the group rate is offered on the understanding that the group dines together at the same prearranged time. Groups who are booked to share rooms and as a result of a cancellation by a group member leads to single occupancy of a twin/double room by a group member, will  be charged the single room supplement appropriate to the room. Please note that groups are required to pay for "extras" i.e. drinks etc at the time and not run up a "tab". FOOD SERVICE.....Please note we only offer food at breakfast and dinner. There is no provision for lunch or snacks during the rest of the day. SPECIAL THEMED BREAKS  such as murder mysteries, Christmas, Hogmanay are subject to availability and sufficient numbers being booked TRAVEL INSURANCE not included in any of our prices   RESERVATIONS A £30 per person non refundable deposit is required with reservations and 50% of the booking for Christmas and Hogmanay and Weddings.  The balance of  accounts for Christmas and Hogmanay reservations is payable by 1st December and for weddings by a pre arranged date.     Visa and Mastercard are accepted to guarantee your reservation,  please note there is a 3% handling charge for all credit card transactions.
