FEW EASY WALKS RIGHT ON OUR DOORSTEP

1. CRAIGDARROCH OAK WOODLAND
AND TARVIE LOCHS
Craigdarroch meaning 'Rock of Oaks'
is home to the most northerly area of sessile oak woodland. Circular walks
weave through the woodland up onto the higher ground to discover secret
hill lochs where brilliant views can be had all around.
2. THE RIVER BLACKWATER AND ROGIE FALLS

Walk from your base at Craigdarroch Hotel to the
river Blackwater with forest trails along the river
including the dramatic
Rogie Falls crossed by a suspension bridge.
Then either walk west, to Garve
along the shores of Loch Garve
arriving at Silverbridge
and then if you wish, on to Ben Wyvis, or east to Strathpeffer, Knock Farril and Loch Ussie.
3.
THREE DAMS WALK 
From the hotel down the path to Loch
Achilty. Follow the roadway around the loch and on up to the Falls of
Conon and Luichart dam. From here 2 miles along the top of the Meig gorge
to Loch Meig dam with extensive views of upper Strathconon and the peaks
of Sgurr a 'Mhuilinn and Meallan nan Uan. Then its 3 miles to Torr Achilty
dam with views over Scatwell estate
and attractive farmland of lower
Strathconon. From here walk back to the hotel with excellent views of Ben
Wyvis. Total 12 miles.

by some great hill walking experiences, all just a short drive from the
hotel ....to the north and west Ben Wyvis, An Teallach, Beinn Eighe,
The Fannaichs, Stac Pollaidh and Strathconon, to the south Glen
Strathfarrar and Glen Orrin, to name just a few.
